A MUJI Health and Beauty Workshop on Sensitive Skincare was conducted on Friday, 13th May 2016 and Saturday, 14th May 2016 at JCC. As part of SJ50 and MUJI’s 13th Anniversary in Singapore, Ms Hiroko Miyao of Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd, developer of the MUJI Skincare line, flew in from Japan to demonstrate about their products at the workshop.
During the workshop sessions on both days, Ms Miyao explained their aim of wanting their customers to achieve supple and hydrated skin, with their simple steps. Firstly, Ms Miyao started with their Light Toning Water – Light Moisture. The lightweight toner made from natural cavern springs from Iwate Prefecture and as it is derived from ‘soft’ water, which is known to have the PH level as our human tears, it makes the perfect cleansing step for any sensitive skin.

Their Moisturising Milk was introduced next, and the milk is a soap cleanser that gently foams up. When paired with MUJI’s foaming soap net, Ms Miyao demonstrated how their milk cleanser together with their net, which created large soft peaks of foam that could penetrate through pores, removing dirt and aiding in supple skin.
Next, the demonstrator held the toning water again, but this time, transferred the toner onto their MUJI cotton pads to create a facial packs. The cotton – a dehydrated tablet shape, bloomed into a drenched sheet, which was then placed on a model’s face to demonstrate the areas that requires much hydration such as the under eye area.
