During the JCC Cinema 99 screening at Festive Arts Theatre, Our Tampines Hub

Our JCC Cinema 99 brought the beloved Studio Ghibli film Ponyo to Our Tampines Hub (OTH) on 28 June, the last day of the June school holidays. We were joined by an audience of 200 people, from children to adults, all gathered to enjoy the ever-popular Japanese animation.
Ponyo is an ocean fairy tale about a fish-girl who dreams of becoming human after meeting Sosuke, a young boy living by the sea. It is a heartwarming film that explores themes such as trust, change and the environment in a way that is light yet meaningful, making it a great watch for younger viewers.
Holding screenings at the heartlands in venues such as the Festive Arts Theatre at OTH allows JCC to bring Japanese films closer to Singaporeans. As we approach our milestone JCC Cinema 100, we are glad to have introduced many Japanese films through our screenings with the support of film distributors such as MM2 Entertainment Singapore, who partnered with us for this screening.
We hope to continue sharing more films with Singapore. Stay tuned for what’s coming next!
