MY FIRST STORY (マイ・ファースト・ストーリー)

If you are a fan of anime, you have probably rocked out to the amazing theme songs at the opening and ending of each episode. Many Japanese bands have gained a significant fanbase from their involvement in the OSTs (original soundtrack) of popular anime series.

You may have also heard of our special feature band from the recent TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Hashira Training Arc" in 2024.

MUGEN was released in collaboration with Japanese singer and songwriter HYDE (from L'Arc-en-Ciel, VAMPS, THE LAST ROCKSTARS) and it became a major hit in the Japanese music scene that year.

You would also be surprised to know that while MY FIRST STORY will be holding their first international show in Singapore in July 2025, the band has actually been around for more than 10 years!

MY FIRST STORY (マイ・ファースト・ストーリー)

MY FIRST STORY consists of Hiro (vocals), Nob (bass), Teru (guitar) and Kid'z (drums).

The band was formed in the summer of 2011 in Tokyo. They made their debut on April 2012 with their first full album “MY FIRST STORY”.

Their wide range of music and live performances garnered a lot of attention from fans locally and overseas. They also played at many music festivals in Japan such as the Summer Sonic Festival and Rock in Japan Festival and even supported the American rock band All Time Low during their Japan tour.

To promote their music, MY FIRST STORY held many tours in various cities in Japan, many of which were sold-out shows.

V

The pandemic put a halt on many of the world’s activities but MY FIRST STORY did not let it deter them. They released their 6th Full Album “V” in August 2020, which reached No.2 on the Oricon Weekly Chart. After restrictions were lifted, they went on to hold 12 concerts in 6 days in Yokohama from October to November of the same year.

Hiro (vocals) is the brother of Taka from ONE OK ROCK, a popular Japanese band. The two brothers even performed side by side during their two-man live show “VS” which was held at the Tokyo Dome, Tokyo on 14 November 2023.

Overseas Debut in Singapore

In 2024, Hiro made an appearance at Anime Festival Asia to the delight of local fans. This time around, the full band will be making their overseas debut at the Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands!

Thanks to Encore Live, JCC had the chance to interview MY FIRST STORY for our E-Magazine. We hope that you enjoyed reading this feature.
