Konnichiwa!
How fast time flies by in this busy year of SJ50! The first half has already passed by and we just kick-started the latter half with an opening of Japanese Sumi Ink exhibition by calligrapher and Kokotsu-bun (Oracle bone script) specialist, Ms Nakatani Suisen on 1st July at JCC. Her art pieces are full of her profound interpretations of the world’s ancient Kokotsu-bun characters, reinterpreted into a bold and playful art form. I strongly recommend readers of this E-Magazine to visit JCC and witness this rare show in Singapore with your own eyes.
As you may all be aware by now, Embassy of Japan in Singapore will jointly organize "SJ50 Matsuri" together with other Japan-related organisations at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza on the weekend of 29th and 30th October this year. This is in order to celebrate our binational solid foundation, and to further develop our friendship and collaboration for another coming 50 years. We are welcoming all individual and corporate participation in this upcoming "SJ50 Matsuri", so please have a look at this website (http://sj50matsuri.com/) to learn more about how you can contribute to this unique and excellent joint celebration!
See you soon!
