Artist Mr Justin Lee explaining silkscreen printing to the children. |
|
On 2 December 2017, artists Mr Justin Lee and Mr Takanao Todo held workshops for children from the Dyslexia Association of Singapore. In the morning, Mr Justin Lee led a silkscreen printing workshop. The children learnt how to transfer their designs onto a silkscreen and how to print that design onto paper and on their very own tote bags. In the afternoon, the children joined Mr Takanao Todo in a paper sculpting workshop, where they built 3D sculptures of huts based on their favourite places. The children enjoyed both workshops, as they got to bring home their own creations – a tote bag with their own design, and a 3D paper sculpture.

These workshops were part of the joint exhibition presented by the artists Mr Lee and Mr Todo. Entitled ‘The Circle of Life 輪廻’, the exhibition will be running at JCC (Japan Creative Centre) from 25 November 2017 to 9 December 2017.
