Moreover, guests had the chance to sample various sake from the Mie Prefecture, and see unique package crafts. The art of package craft transforms snack package boxes into eye-catching forms like ninja or ise-ebi (Japanese spiny lobster which is known to Mie Prefecture). It was a recipient of the Japan Good Design Award in 2015, and a newly-proposed art form which embodies the spirit of traditional origami and mottainai (a Japanese approach to the concept of waste). Many who were interested, participated in a simple workshop to create their own ise-ebi from an empty chocolate box packaging.
As a result of this event, many guests learn more about Mie Prefecture, and expressed an interest in visiting the enchanting area one day!
