The opening ceremony of “Drawing Japan and Singapore with Lines Alone” was held at JCC on Friday, 30 January 2026. Presented jointly by JCC and Innoplan Singapore Pte Ltd, the exhibition features around 70 artworks by artist Ms Kaoru Hashimoto, drawn solely with ballpoint pens on paper. The collection showcases the contrasts and harmony between what the artist views as the elements of Japan and Singapore.
JCC Director Ms Kawabe Akiko delivered an opening speech, highlighting that this event is part of the official celebrations that marks SJ60, the 60th anniversary of Singapore-Japan diplomatic relations. Innoplan Singapore CEO Mr Kaneko Yukihiro and artist Ms Hashimoto also welcomed the guests.
