The JET Homecoming Gala was held on 15 November 2023 at the Japanese Association Singapore to welcome JET returnees back home.

In his opening speech, H.E Ambassador Hiroshi Ishikawa, shared how Singaporean JET participants have been valued by their communities in Japan for their strong work ethic as well as adaptability to different situations. He also added that JET participants play a vital role in people-to-people exchanges, which bring Singapore and Japan closer to each other. After the introduction of each returnee, Mr Taisuke Sakurai - Executive Director of J.CLAIR Singapore - initiated a toast for the evening.

Two returnees, Mr Bay Ming Ching - an ALT in Kumamoto City and Mr Muhammad Amiruddin Bin Aman - an ALT in Kyoto City shared their experience on teaching English and living in Japan. Ms Hoong Shao Ting - President of JETAA Singapore - also shared about the JETAA (JET Alumni Association) activities. The returnees and alumni members had a fruitful networking session, mingling with representatives of different Japanese organisations and companies.
