Dialogue with Dr Iskandar Jalil

On 3 November 2018, a dialogue with Dr Iskandar Jalil was held, in conjunction with the exhibition ‘Dr Iskandar Jalil: Paradox’, which is currently showing at JCC. JCC’s E-library was a full house to many audience members who attended, all hoping to hear Dr. Iskandar’s thoughts on his current exhibition. Audience members took the opportunity to pick Dr Iskandar’s brain on topics relating to his inspiration for his artworks, and his thoughts on the philosophies of contemporary art. |
| The dialogue was moderated by Dr Suriani Suratman, who guided meaningful conversations with Dr Iskandar, and encouraged the audience to take part in the discussion as well. She also called upon Ms Elena Iskandar, Dr Iskandar’s daughter, to give insights on what it was like to work with Dr Iskandar for the exhibition. It was an enjoyable afternoon filled with fruitful conversations and many audience members had the opportunity to speak directly with Dr Iskandar after the dialogue as well. |  Audience members asking questions. |
