The opening ceremony of the Circle of Life – an exhibition by Japanese and Singaporean artists Mr Takanao Todo and Mr Justin Lee was held at JCC (Japan Creative Centre) on Friday, 24 November 2017.
The ceremony was commenced by our Director Ms Akiko Sugita giving a welcoming remarks to the guests. Following which, both artists came forward to speak about the background, inspiration and concept behind the exhibition.

Later on, Ms Osamura Junko, manager of the artists, presented a token of appreciation to Ms Sugita for JCC’s support in making the exhibition a success. The guests also enjoyed light refreshments and interacted with the artists and their works throughout the night.
From now till 9 December, the exhibition showcases a series of ceramics, silkscreen fabrics and prints as a mark to create awareness for the concept of "Circle of Life". The concept of the exhibition is to create a circle of unity with people and things that all life revolve. Be sure to catch the exhibition right here at JCC!
