JCC held an exclusive talk session on 9 July featuring singer-songwriter and music producer Sachiyo and Singaporean music producer and director Evan Low. As key collaborators behind the upcoming SJ60 commemorative concert Resonance Across Borders, the two discussed the varying perspectives, opportunities, and challenges of creating music across cultures based on their experiences. Besides sharing personal anecdotes, they also reflected on the power of music as a bridge between Japanese and Singaporean cultures. To the delight of the audience members, Sachiyo gave a surprise performance of Furusato, the Japanese version of Singapore’s beloved National Day Parade theme song Home, to close off the event.
The SJ60 commemorative concert Resonance Across Borders will be held at Drama Centre Theatre on 6 September 2026.
