Singapore and Japan officially established diplomatic relations on 26th April in 1966. To celebrate 50 years of solid friendship between our two nations, we launched "SJ50" and created a logo mark, which has brought much attention from both sides and for that, we are blessed.  As often said, our excellent friendship has been nurtured by both nation's ceaseless efforts in understanding each other better and we truly believe that this is one of the most important mission that JCC has to offer.

This month of April welcomes a grandmaster of Urasenke Tea School, Dr Genshitsu Sen - the 15th generation of Sen Rikyu, who is a founder of ‘The Way of Tea’ that I am sure would give another precious opportunity for you to experience one of our cultural assets.

In addition, I am pleased to announce that our new Ambassador to Singapore, H.E. Mr Kenji Shinoda and his wife Yuko will be arriving soon. I hope you will join me in warmly welcoming the both of them at our next JCC event!

Check out our new SJ50 Matsuri brochure here as well!

See you soon,
