JCC (Japan Creative Centre) was pleased to be part of West Coast Earth Hour 2017 held on Saturday, 25th March, where we put together a Yukata wearing booth for residents of West Coast to try out this popular traditional Japanese garment. Two instructors from the Japanese Association, Singapore were also present to assist and provide guidance on the correct way of putting on a Yukata.

We had an overwhelming and positive response with participants – consisting different ages and races – all full of smiles and laughter when taking photos and selfies of themselves in the full outfit - Yukata, Obi (sash) and Geta (Wooden clogs).
