| TEMPORARY VISIT FOR SIGHT-SEEING AND/OR BUSINESS UP TO 90 DAYS |
Temporary visits refer to short-term stays not exceeding 90 days for purposes such as sightseeing; business trips (e.g. market surveys, business liaison, business talks, signing contracts, and after-sale service for machinery imported into Japan); sports; convalescence (e.g. seeking medical treatment and recuperation); visits to relatives, friends, or acquaintances; amateur participation in athletic meetings or other contests; and other friendship visits. These activities will require a Temporary Visitor Visa. Singapore Citizens entering Japan with the intention of engaging in the above-said activities are permitted to stay up to the maximum period of 3 months without a visa as part of Singapore's Visa Exemption Arrangement withJapan. This arrangement, however does not permit income deriving activities. A foreigner entering Japan for business related purposes may apply for a Multiple-Entry visa subject to conditions stipulated in the Multiple-Entry Visa guidelines. |
