These documentation requirements apply to nationals of the People's Republic of China (PRC) who hold either the Student-Pass <STP>, or Long-term Visit Pass with validity of less than one year. Please take note that visa processing requires formal approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Japan. Therefore, processing time may take up to several weeks. PRC who are Permanent Residents and holders of the Long-term Visit Pass with validity of more than one year are not affected by this special arrangement. |
