Japan Creative Centre (JCC) is pleased to present a lecture by Dr. Nissim Otmazgin, visiting professor to NUS. The lecture will cover popular culture, including the industry and policy in Japan and Korea. This event is coorganized by the Department of Japanese Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, NUS.

About the speaker:
Dr. Nissim Otmazgin is currently a Lecturer at at the Department of East Asian Studies, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, teaching undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Japan’s Modern History and Japanese Politics and Foreign Relations. He graduated from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and was awarded a Ph.D from Kyoto University. He received the Sixth Iue Asia-Pacific Research Prize for outstanding dissertation written on society and culture in Asia.
