The Japan Creative Centre (JCC) is pleased to present its 2nd Artist Talk by Cultural Envoy and manga artist Mr Iwami Seiji!

During the talk and demonstration session, Mr Iwami will be sharing his observations of Singapore in his manga drawings. Participants will also get a chance to watch the man in action as Mr Iwami will be giving a live demonstration on his techniques and art!

Come join us at JCC for a creative and colourful afternoon of manga with Mr Iwami Seiji!

About the Artist:

Born in Japan's Wakayama Prefecture in 1960, veteran cartoonist Mr Iwami Seiji writes comics for the readers' column of Sankei Sports Shimbun newspaper and other monthly magazines. Mr Iwami is also a lecturer at the Osaka University of Arts. A member of the Japanese Cartoonist Association and Manga Japan, Mr Iwami have received numerous awards such as "New Hope cartoonist Award" and "Yon-Koma Award" just to name a few.

In 2010, Mr Iwami became the first leading Japanese Manga artist to be conferred the role of "Japan Cultural Exchange Envoy" tasked with promoting Japanese Manga to the rest of the world. As Mr Iwami's role as Cultural Exchange Envoy will be ending soon, this will be his final event in his official capacity as Cultural Envoy.
