I am happy to announce that the grand opening of Japan Creative Centre finally took place on November 14. Prime Minister of Japan HE Yukio Hatoyama and Prime Minister of Singapore HE Lee Hsien Loong kindly graced the ceremony. Both Prime Ministers made very impressive opening remarks and all those who contributed to creation of the Centre felt greatly honored.

Between November 16, 2009 and January 29, 2010 we will have an exhibition "Japan Good Design" open to public. I am looking forward to seeing you there. The exhibition shows some of the best industrial designs such as a robot, a hybrid car and others which Japanese designers have ever created.

We have other exciting events under planning such as Japanese oldest drama theatre "Noh" performance and lectures in the beginning of January and series of exhibitions by Japanese designers in February and March, 2010.

After March 2010 we plan to organize more original and creative events and activities in cooperation with individual artists, private companies and other organizations. I hope that many Singaporeans will come and enjoy them.

From now on I will write down my personal impressions on JCC related events in "my diary" below, which hopefully will attract more Singaporeans to JCC.
